Interactive bot fictions are bots that create automated interactive branching narratives on Twitter. When a user tweets certain keywords at the bot, it replies back with the next part of the story and the next set of keywords the user must choose between. (Example: “A man points a gun at you. Reply with RETURNFIRE to fire back. Reply with DIVE to try to dive out of the way.”)

While I don’t feel I’ve fully cracked this weird new medium, it’s been exciting to experiment and people seem to have fun responding to the bots and finding all the branches of each story by replying over and over.
